The Halo Heatshield is the industry’s first ever “Free Floating”
Heatshield. The rear of the Heatshield is secured to the rear of
the barrel with a DuPont® Extreme Temperature Polymer
Clip while the front of the Heatshield is suspended above the
shotgun barrel by two DuPont® Extreme Temperature Polymer
V Blocks. Both the Rear Clip and Front V Blocks include an
underlying High Temp Resistant Silicon pad that can withstand
temperatures in excess of 600˚F.
The new Halo Heatshield is available for
Remington 870, Mossberg 500 and Winchester 1300 shotguns with and
without Ghost Ring Sights.
Unlike other heatshields the Halo Heat Shields
are designed to fit specific models. Also their are optional
Picatinny rails specifically designed to be used on the Halo
Heatshields.

The Shotgun Heatshield is designed to keep the operator from
burning their hands should they grab their shotgun by the barrel
after long term rapid fire. So it is obvious that the Shotgun
Heatshield by itself does not serve any real purpose of the the
average shotgun owner, unless include the
"COOL FACTOR". However once you add the ghost ring sights
into the equation you now have a justification beyond the
"COOL FACTOR" to purchase a
heatshield. The Deluxe Heatshield with Ghost Ring Sights are available in Black,
Bright Chrome
and Marine cote and the standard Heatshield is available in Black or
Bright Chrome. All our universal Shotgun barrel Heatshields will fit most quality
defensive shotguns such as the Remington 870 and the Mossberg 500 or
