1. BILLCONCH - Gun Safe for Bedroom Nightstand

Highlight: The space of this gun safe can store 2 standard size pistols. It also can store valuables such as jewelry. The light and small size can also let you put it in the car, or the bedside table, drawer and other places, which is convenient to carry.
Helpful review: "I am a woman that purchased my first item to put into this safe, but needed somewhere to store it other than lying loaded on my nightstand as I was a bit nervous about it all. I purchased this gun safe and was happy with the sturdiness and ease of installing it onto my nightstand. After installation, I had trouble programming it with a new code and the fingerprint. Tried many times, reading and rereading the instructions, but I couldn’t get it to work. Within the packaging, it had a card with registration info. I did and received an immediate email back welcoming me and a contact address if I had any problems.
I replied on late Saturday evening about the programming problem and, much to my shock, they immediately replied and helped me get it programmed. Instead of holding the program button for “5” seconds, they told me to hold it for “3” and that was all there was to it. I was holding the button too long. Duh!
I absolutely LOVE my safe. It holds my item beautifully, securely, safely, and now opens with a touch of any of my fingers at different angles. I now feel safe with my new item contained in my safe by my bedside. I am so glad I chose this safe with this particular company as their customer service and patience with my lack of skills was superb! I have never received such great customer service from a company as I did with this one. They are astoundingly good! Ladies, this is the safe to get." — Kindle Customer
Trending review: "I have a very large stand up gun safe I bought in 1980. It weighs 700 lbs. empty so no 2 or 3 guys are going to be carrying it off. It is old technology with a 3 number dial combination so it requires a light source to see the dial and about 20 to 30 seconds to open due to the dial combination. I have been wanting to get a bedside gun safe to keep one handgun near by and easily accessible but safe from the grand kids. This fits the bill and is exactly what I was hoping for. Very straight forward instruction manual on set up and installation. I mounted it on my side of the bed head board cabinet shown in the pictures. The space is about 9 inches wide. I mounted it higher than normal to also discourage the grand kids from messing with it. When I first opened it with the factory settings the drawer only opened a couple of inches. I noticed a little clear grease on the slide so I manually cycled the drawer in and out a little to make sure the slide was well lubricated and that fixed that problem. It opens all the way every time now. I programmed my number into the keypad which was straight forward. The manual recommends saving at least 3 different positions of the same thumb/finger chosen on the scanner. I did my left thumb and right index finger both 3 time in slightly different positions. With light where you can see the keypad it recognizes my finger/thumb prints every time. I was pleased. In the dark I wasn't so successful. I actually caused the safe to go into "alarm" mode by trying 5 time to get it to read my thumb. (I had failed to read that in the manual. Good to know) It will reset after 5 minutes or you can reset it by opening it with the provided key which is what I did. I was able to use the key by braille quite easily. Because of the limited space where I mounted it using my left thumb was the easier than using my right index especially in the dark. I ended up have to scan my thumb a total of 9 times to get it to work 99% the first time in complete darkness. If it does not recognize my thumb print the first time in the dark it at least lights up the keypad so I can see the numbers and the scanner button so I can position my thumb properly on the reader or use the keypad numbers. To me this is very acceptable. It has worked very well doing it this way. I am very satisfied with the safe and would recommend it to anyone looking for this type safe." — H W.
Reassuring review: "Exceeds expectations for a mountable slider safe on a budget. The only step up from here would be fireproof and wifi features for twice the price. Solid, sturdy, heavy. Mounts perfectly to a headboard, nightstand, dresser, desk, etc. Negative reviews are going to happen but most of them could be remedied with customer service or by researching the product first. It's not a "drawer" style safe nor could I recommend it for a vehicle. If you insist on attaching lights, lasers, etc to your handgun and don't want to modify the foam, choose a larger safe or make different gun decisions. Fits any of my full size pistols with extra mags fine. No issues with the latch, slider, or electronics for me yet.
I've wanted a secure and discreet bedside option for quite some time and I couldn't be happier with it. Everything else goes in the bigger safe boxes in the house. This one is for a sole designed purpose." — Ben

Helpful review: "Having owned a key locked gun safe for two years, I found it provided adequate protection for my firearms. However, I realized its limitations when I experienced a real-life scenario of a break-in. On that nerve-wracking night, someone broke into my backyard and, in the crucial moments when every second counted, I found myself frantically searching for the keys to my gun safe. That 5-minute delay was not just frustrating but also highlighted a potential risk to my family's safety.
This was the moment I knew I needed a better solution - a faster, more secure, and more accessible way to reach my firearm in an emergency. That's when I decided to switch to this fingerprint operated gun safe, and let me tell you, it's been a significant upgrade.
What makes this fingerprint operated safe superior is the rapidity and ease of access. The biometric scanner accurately reads my fingerprint in mere seconds, providing me swift access to my firearm when I need it most. It's a significant improvement from fumbling around for keys, especially during high-stress situations.
Moreover, this safe also includes a keypad option, offering an alternate method of access if needed. The intuitive design and layout of the keypad are commendable. The buttons are easy to locate, have a responsive touch, and are perfectly user-friendly even in low light conditions.
The peace of mind that this fingerprint operated gun safe provides is truly invaluable. It combines the critical elements of security, speed, and convenience in a way that a traditional key locked safe simply couldn't match.
I highly recommend this gun safe to anyone seeking a reliable, high-quality, and quick-access solution for their firearm security. Its superior features demonstrate a thoughtful design that puts the user's needs and safety at the forefront. This is not just a purchase; it's an investment in peace of mind." — Wei L.
Trending review: "The seller is on point. Super fast shipping. Superb packing. Quality and beautiful presentation from RPNB. The RPNB safe is a very high qualitycrafted product and works superbly. The only flaw was the rubber feet had come loose from the bottom. I figure that was because of the very high temperatures we have been having. I put them back on and they stuck. The drawer opens smoothly and every time. The fingerprints must be registered at different angles if you're not going to use the exact same angle every time. The RPNB company should be commended for this product. This is an initial preview after receiving and testing the unit for 45 minutes after receiving. If something comes up negative I will review again. If you see nothing further all is well" — KB
Reassuring review: "It's a pretty easy to install safe, no issues in diffrent mounting configurations. I mounted mine horizontally in my trunk. It does not come with self tapping screws, so if you wanted a car install get washers and pan head self tappers.
Took 5 minutes to install, easier if you predrilled with a 3/32" bit a few pilot holes.
Another 5 minutes to program it.
I'd only recommend you remember thec AAA batteries, and 4 self tapping screws if you're mounting this into metal like I was. It only included wood screws in my kit.
I also wish the combo was more than 1-4 buttons besides the biometrics. Fits my glock 17 great.
100% recommend for the price." — Ryan

Reassuring review: "I rarely write reviews for items I purchase on amazon even though I'm an avid user of reviews (I know, I should be better about this). I was so impressed with this handgun safe that I had to leave a review.
When looking for a handgun safe, my requirements were -- 1) Be able to properly secure a large handgun (1911) from children and other unauthorized people 2) Be quickly accessible in the middle of night without having to get out of bed and/or fumble around in the dark. This safe hit those two "must haves" right out of the park!
As you can see from video, this handgun safe is big enough to comfortably hold my Springfield 1911 and one mag. The foam insert in the safe can be removed and cut if needed to accommodate larger guns although I did not have to do that for mine. The battery pack is on the back side of safe and easily removable. Four AAA batteries are required and are not provided. I found the simplicity of the safe's operating functions very desirable. I had the safe open and programmed with a new code in under 5 mins from unpacking and most of that time was me installing batteries and reading the manual it comes with. I had up to 15 fingerprints (certain fingers I put in multiple times to increase the readability) within the first 10 mins. The program button to input a new code and/or new fingerprints is located in the safe under the no. 3 key. The safe allows you to put a code that is 4, 5, or 6 digits long using the numbers 1-4. You cannot press two digits at the same time. There is also a quiet feature to silence the loud beeping that is heard every time you enter a number or fingerprint. The safe comes with two physical keys that can unlock the safe from the keyhole found on the underside of the safe.
I installed this bad boy on the side of my night stand. I did have to modify my nightstand with a quarter inch piece of plywood due to the design of the nightstand and the desired height I wanted the safe to rest. This was not a knock against the design of the safe or mounting bracket but just simply a quick fix to make sure the safe sat in a position that was best suited for my personal liking. The mounting bracket was very simple to screw on to the nightstand with the four screws provided and it can be switched from the left or right side of the safe to accommodate different mounting positions. The bracket has a small safety screw that screws on from the inside of the safe. I did find it a little challenging to get this small safety screw on but only because I have overly large hands and the safe is too small for me to get my giant meat hooks in there while also having the dexterity needed to properly fit this screw. So I just got my wife to do it instead.
Overall, I am very impressed with this safe. While it is a little pricey compared to other handgun safes, I find it to be worth every penny. With a small child running around and more to come, this safe gives me peace of mind that my gun is both safe from children and easily accessible for authorised users." — Amazon Customer
4. VERPROOF - Single Gun Safety for Nightstand
Top-Rated: 1725 ratings
Credit: Amazon.com
Highlight: The most unique aspect of this handgun safe is that gun safes poistols hidden can be mounted on the nightstand, desk, wall, on your dresser, or wherever you would like. Gun safes & cabinets with LED interior will help you locate your firearm in a dimly lit room.
Helpful review: "Pro - If you carefully read the instructions, It is pretty easy to program but you really have to pay close attention to every step in the instructions.
Con - It clearly states that you can program the PIN using 3-6 key presses but that is absolutely false. I tried for over an hour, reading the instructions over and over and could only enter 4. To be fair, I was missing a step from the very start but once I figured that out, I still couldn't enter more than four digits. In retrospect, I think four key presses are the limit for me. I had jotted down the sequence in the instruction book and stored it in my office. Later I wanted to check my gun's s/n and could not for the life of me remember the sequence. I thought about it for a while (after going through the lockout timer a few times) not wanting to walk 10 feet to my office to look it up. It came to me and now I practice it once a week.
Con: for such a sturdy safe, it has a ridiculously flimsy mounting bracket. The safe will swing left to right while you punch in the code. (I use the bracket in the 12 o'clock position under my nightstand (no drawers just legs) and it swings with the slightest touch of the keypad. I have dreams of having a stronger bracket made possibly with an inverted U shape to bolt to both sides of the safe but who has time for that. It will probably cost more than the safe to take the project to a welding shop and I have yet to pull the trigger (pun intended) on a welder of my own to do this type of small project around my house.
A determined ne'er-do-well could get the bracket off of the nightstand by fatiguing the bracket steel the old fashioned way by swinging the safe left to right enough times to snap it off. My take is that, for now, I am following the safe storage law and keeping any young visitors to my house safe, (not that I have any but their may eventually be grandkids.)
It works good enough for now and may eventually 'force' me to buy a welder." — Shawn P Lillard
Trending review: "UPDATE 7/18/2023
Based on my review, the manufacturer reached out. I changed the batteries, and the problem is resolved. The batteries that come with the safe are garbage, I recommend replacing them on day 1. I have not had to replace the batteries since.
RECOMMENDATIONS:
1. Either sell with good batteries or NO batteries.
2. Update instructions with troubleshooting instructions.
3. In the interim, provide troubleshooting guidance online.
I would buy again, there has been no issues.
----------------------------------------
11/01/2022 - Installed easy enough. Setup was easy. I used the electronic keypad every day to make sure it worked, but about 45 days into purchase, the safe fails to open with keypad. I get the click that it wants to open, a flashing red light and a single beep; however, the safe did not open. It opens with the key. I verified the correct code was entered using the tamper detection steps. I tried many times, same result.
There is NO troubleshooting instructions. The is NO manhufacturer contact infomration. There is NO help. That should be a HUGE red flag, there is NO one to call, email, or chat with.
I top ot the above, it only had a 30 day return window, so now I am stuck with a $75 paper weight!" — lollice
Reassuring review: "I like to walk my dog at night, and I like to conceal carry then. I mounted this on my garage wall by my door so I can quickly grab my Beretta on the way out, and quickly and securely store it on the way back in.
Setup is a bit of a pain, as I found out after I didn’t like the original mounting location. The three internal screws are somewhat of a pain in the arse, especially if you don’t have dainty hands and fingers.
After I figured out a good way to do it, mounting was a cinch!
No need to spend more money on the biometric one when punching in a 4 digit code is almost just as quick.
I like the quick open and drop down feature, and the internal memory foam with cutout.
Works like a charm and the gun is kept safe away from my little one." — VGKCHAMPS
5. GLORYFIRE - Mounted Nightstand Quick Access Handgun Safe
Top-Rated: 461 ratings
Credit: Amazon.com
Highlight: Featuring a vertical design, this unit can be mounted under tables, next to beds and on nightstands with the mounting plate included. With no tools required, the pistol safe can be easily removed from the mounting plate
Helpful review: "Excellent pistol safe, I installed it as described in the instructions and the mounting method is rock solid.
I really like how the combo buttons light up when my fingers hover above them, this is perfect when the room lights are out. By default, pressing the combo buttons make an audible beep; why would anyone want that in an emergency situation? Luckily, the beeps can be disabled so no issue for me there. I use my code at least once a week just to practice and make certain I remember the code, its been months and the system works flawlessly.
The safe runs on a usb c connector with battery backup. I've tested with usb and no batteries, usb with batteries, and batteries only. All methods work with no issues. I installed batteries and usb c for normal operation, confirmed operation, then pulled power from the usb c wall wart and confirmed failover operation. So access to my pistol is guaranteed even in a power outage.
I haven't tried the fingerprint reader, generally don't trust those for emergencies. I have used the key with no issues but again not something I would plan to use in an emergency.
When the lock is released, the pistol drawer slides out fully and reliably. An led in the safe turns on when the drawer opens, allowing me to clearly see the pistol grip. Pulling the pistol out of the foam sometimes pulls the foam a bit out of place as well, but I don't find this to be an obstruction when accessing the weapon. I have considered using a little glue to keep the foam in place, simply to avoid reseating when putting the pistol back.
Bottom line, I found this product to be rock solid and met my every expectation. Highly recommend." — Bob
Trending review: "I can confidently say that the GLORYFIRE Pistol Safe is one of the best investments I've made. About a year ago, my first grandchild was born, and I found myself contemplating her safety and the security of our home. We've always had firearms in our house, responsibly hidden yet accessible, but ensuring the safety of our granddaughter and any other children who might visit became a top priority. The GLORYFIRE Pistol Safe not only met but exceeded all of our needs.
This safe offers a triple-layered approach to access, providing a perfect balance between security and convenience. You can unlock it using biometric recognition, a key code, or a traditional key. While all three methods work flawlessly, I have personally come to prefer the five-digit key code entry due to its efficiency and my peace of mind.
One of the standout features of this safe is its user-friendly design. Even though I have multiple fingerprints stored for biometric access, I find the key code entry more intuitive in my daily practice. It's a personal preference that highlights the versatility of this safe in catering to individual needs and habits.
In the early stages of my purchase, I did have some concerns, but GLORYFIRE's customer service team demonstrated their commitment to excellence. They promptly addressed my questions and resolved any issues I had. This exceptional customer service experience reinforced my belief that GLORYFIRE is a reputable company that values its customers.
In conclusion, the GLORYFIRE Pistol Safe is a top-tier product providing security and peace of mind. Whether you're a new parent or a responsible gun owner, this safe offers versatile and reliable access options to keep your firearms secure yet easily accessible. With the added assurance of excellent customer service, GLORYFIRE has certainly earned my trust and satisfaction. I highly recommend this pistol safe to anyone seeking a dependable and user-friendly solution for firearm storage." — Gary Clubb
Reassuring review: "This product is great for a bedside safe. Two things I wish they could make better. The mounting surface is not the full size of the safe so if you don't have a nightstand with a side on it you have to mount it slightly higher than the surface of the nightstand. Second the fingerprint reader doesn't work the best. They recommend you program one finger multiple times. Witch did make it work alot better. I programed both my thumbs and my wife's and it took up the full 20 spots for programming. If you do it the way they recommend it opens every time. I will say though for the price it is very functional and worth the money" — BP
6. MASALUO - Handgun Safe for Home Bedside Nightstand
Top-Rated: 54 ratings
Credit: Amazon.com
Highlight: Ideal for pistols, cash and other valuable items. It is super strong to guard your valuables at all times. The Blue interior lighting will help you reach your gun or valuables in the middle of night without diminishing your night vision. The bottom of the gun safe has a sponge cushion that can store your valuables better,to avoid scratches.
Helpful review: "A lot to unpack here so get comfortable.
The safe itself looks nice, feels sturdy, and opens quickly with the biometric sensor as you can see by the video. Every time I used my fiber, it opened in half a second. That’s really good.
It comes with easy instructions, batteries, and a tether cable.
Aesthetically, it does look nice but it has these corner pieces that are hard plastic and unnecessary. Additionally, if you remove the corner pieces you’ll now have small holes right through the metal and into the inside of the safe that can serve as perfect drill pilot holes.
The lid closes flush with the sides but there is no lip under the sides to prevent a screwdriver from being jammed between the lid and sides.
The electronics pad where the buttons, aux power, and biometric sensor are is a vulnerable area. You can easily take a screw driver under the pad and destroy it possibly giving you access to internal mechanisms.
The lid does have two latching points so that’s good. The blue light is bright enough to see the contents but it doesn’t stay on long, about ten seconds or so.
The safe beeps twice when a successful biometric is recognized but the lid is already open way before the second beep even starts. Like I said, it opens quickly.
It will beep three times if an incorrect code or biometric is entered.
One thing I don’t like at all is the beeps. There should be a way to disable the speaker. Nowhere on the manual does it show how to disable it. For now, a small piece of thick duct tape will have to do.
Overall, this is a good safe to keep kids from accessing a gun or other dangerous items such as medications. However, an experienced thief could make quick work of this safe." — Julio Giraldo
Trending review: "The real rating I'd give this safe is 4.5 stars and here's why. I like how it's strong, solid, can be operated in multiple ways (keys, fingerprints, and code), and also can be secured (to the shelf using the provided screws or tied with an object using the provided cable). If feels strong but it's a bit lighter than the other similar safe that I own.
Reason I tool half star away is that the foam inside was cut for some reason. There is a very small gap which causes a mismatch on the curve where the lid touches the base when it's closed, and I wish the buttons were a bit more responsive when setting up the fingerprints/code. While the instructions are easy to follow, the code set-up was a bit confusing in the first go because I was expecting a response from the safe upon selecting my options but it stayed quiet. Then I also set-up my fingerprints but the code stopped working. I had to reset everything back to the factory settings and set the code and fingerprints again. Then both options started working." — The Arshad Family
Reassuring review: "I was afraid of using a biometric safe bcz of all the consaversy over whether it is safe or not..... But I went ahead and put in my finger prints and then used every finger and even toes of my children to try to get into the safe and they were all denied access! Success for me. It opens fairly quickly and has a light to see what you are grabbing for in it at night.... I had a cable that I put around my bed post that secures to the safe so it can't be moved. For me this was a must have and efficient... Big enough to fit a full size pistol and my hellcat with room to spare. Give this a thumbs up" — Lisa Gerwels
