Helpful review: "So I have to say that I have been pleasantly surprised by how sturdy this inexpensive holster has been.
I have probably drawn and re-holstered my Shield Plus over 300-400 times since purchasing it and I have to say that it has kept it's shape and stability just fine.
Pretty comfortable on a my right appendix carry (I have a bit of a belly- not huge).
The area over the mag release button is high enough that you really don't have to worry about accidental mag release while carrying.
The clip is still like new after the wear and tear asscociated with hooking it to a belt.
I have to say that the holster greatly exceeds the quality that you would typically expect to find from a low priced holster.
UPDATE: 11/19/22
Easily more than 500 draws and re-holsters.
Still going strong.
Trigger safety -- 5 out of 5
There is no way that I would ever be able to accidentally pull the trigger with this holster.
Mag release protection - 5 out of 5
The area over the mag release is still firm and protective.
Re-holster ability- 5 out of 5 (right appendix)
It has maintained it's factory shape and I have had no issues with re-holstering.
I can still recommend this low priced holster
UPDATE 04/01/2023:
The holster is used daily now for months. No failures. I have had to adjust the tension screw twice but slightly
I wear appendix right mostly with a Shield Plus 30 Super Carry.
Very concealable.
Still going strong" — paglio
Trending review: "I have had this for my original S&W shield for a while and it works great. I am able to move it when i need to depending on what I'm doing and where I need it to sit. Now...with the new S&W PLUS that just came out this will hold it , however it should not be used for the S&W PLUS till the company makes a new holster for it , as it is now the holster will hit the mag release on the S&W plus while in the holster VERY easy while being carried. This is NOT a ding on the holster company as this was not made FOR this gun. So even if S&W says shield holsters can hold the new PLUS does not mean the SHOULD hold it. I will give this 5 stars." — devo
Reassuring review: "I purchased this holster and it came in today. I'd compare this to a we the people holster in quality but it's half the price. Great for concealed carry and the retention is just right. Holds securely yet doesn't hinder your draw in any way. If I had to use one word to describe this holster I would use the word "perfect"!!!" — Amazon Customer

Highlight: This OWB paddle holster fits 3.1'' Barrel S&W M&P Shield 9mm/40(with Optic), Smith & Wesson M&P 9 Shield PLUS(with Optic), S&W M P 2.0 Shield 9mm/40 - Right Handed(Note: Doesn't fit guns with laser or light)

Helpful review: "Glad I got this OWB holster for my M&P Shield 9mm (1st Gen, not 2.0)
Holds the gun securely in the holster and the release button is easy and comfortable to use. Very ergonomic and after a little training it because natural to extend a finger to depress the release.
The holster has tabs that "latch on" to under your belt. For a slide-on/clip-on holster, it really stays securely in place so it won't pop out when your draw your firearm, are running, or someone tries to grab and rip your gun off your hip. (It is just a slide-on/clip-on and with enough force I'm sure someone can rip it off your belt.)
The clips are tight enough to slide right onto a pair of pants or shorts with out a belt and will stay in place.
Comfortable to wear and so far I have not seen any damage, scratches or marks on the gun from the holster." — Boston Jonny
Trending review: "I am very pleased with the purchase of this holster. The quality was outstanding for the price. My Smith and Wesson M&P Shield 9mm fits absolutely snuggly--no movement at all. Yet, the draw is amazingly smooth. I was in disbelief at how little it pulls on my waistband when I draw. The weapon does stand out from my waist just a bit, but that is not a problem for me because I only carry outside the waistband when I wear a jacket. The release button is very tactile and easy to find and push. If you are shopping for an OWB holster, I highly recommend this product. The Amazon seller, Dayes' Store, communicated with me before and after the swift delivery to make sure I was satisfied. That was a nice touch!!" — Dennis S Jones
Reassuring review: "Fit my 9mm S&W M&P Shield perfectly. Nice tactile "Click" when inserting pistol. The holster is comfortable and installs as expected of a OWB Paddle holster. Pressing the release lever is smooth and easy to access. Adjusting the swivel angle is easy enough but the hex nuts seem very shallow when using the supplied hex key. Comes with 2 extra nuts and hex key. BOTTOM LINE: Good OWB Paddle holster for M&P Shield 9mm. Will buy one for my Taurus G2." — VonBach

Helpful review: "SEE 2 YEAR UPDATE AT THE BOTTOM
Let me just start by saying that I have been VERY pleased with this M&P Shield IWB Holster from CYA Supply Co. so far. The Shield has been on my "list" for quite a long time now and while I was looking for a decent carry holster, this product came up. After seeing all of the great reviews and seeing the price (under $40), I knew I would have to give this a shot once I got the Shield. Well, I purchased a 9mm Shield a couple weeks ago, so I put the order in for this holster this last Saturday afternoon and I already received it today (Tuesday, 3 days later). The packaging was simple and the holster came with an Allen wrench (looks to be a 3/32") to fit the retention and cant adjustments.
The holster itself is very light and appears to be made of a durable plastic (see product description for exact type) that appears very durable yet flexible. I have been wearing it for the last couple of hours with zero irritation on my skin, so I am very excited to begin using it as my EDC. The clip that comes standard will fit a 1 1/2" belt, with a possible belt thickness of 1/4" (my belt is not this thick so I cannot say for certain that it will fit one this thick) I really like how CYA has incorporated the ability to adjust both the retention and cant for this holster, making this a very valuable product to those that have not found a holster to meet your carry style.
For those that may not know, the retention adjustment allows you to customize the grip (retention) that the holster places on your M&P Shield as it is holstered to allow for a tighter or looser drawing of the weapon. The cant adjustment allows you to customize the angle that your M&P Shield is placed in your waistband from 0 degrees (barrel pointed straight down for a straight up draw) to 15 degrees (barrel is pointed slightly back and the grip angled forward slightly for an angled draw).
Pros:
-Cheap price for a great quality holster
-Material is light, but also appears durable
-A thin holster for a thin gun (measured at about 1 3/4" at the thickest point, including the clip)
-Excellent shipping (purchased on Saturday, arrived Tuesday in Colorado)
-Comes with adjustment Allen wrench needed for all adjustments
-Ability to customize retention, as well as cant angle (from 0-15 degrees)
-The fact that it is made in the USA by a veteran-owned company makes this product that much more awesome to me
Cons:
-This is not really a con, but since the clip is made from plastic and not metal like I have traditionally seen, this may end up being a problem point. It is made from the same material as the rest of the holster, with metal screws, so provided that the holster itself holds up as well as I think it will, then I guess the clip will not be an issue. Just figured I'd mention it for those wondering.
Overall, I am highly impressed. From what I have seen so far, I would 100% recommend this to anybody looking for a Shield holster. I will be updating my review after I have carried my M&P Shield in this holster for a while.
UPDATE 09-Apr-18 (Purchased 25-Jun-16)
I have had this holster now for nearly two years and it fits just as well as it did when I first got it. I have not had to tighten or adjust the screws at all since I first got them how I liked them, which is very important for me to not have to worry about anything coming loose while carrying. I have not noticed any wear in the material or finish, although I wear this as my EDC. I have not had any issues with skin irritation from rubbing and sweating, so all in all still very impressed! My ONE big takeaway point is to be sure that you use a quality belt, something with some thickness. I started carrying while wearing a thin (like less than 1/8" nylon webbing) belt, but this would move out of place and once or twice fully slip off. After I bought a 1-1/2" wide (1/4" thick) leather CCW belt from Relentless Tactical, I have not had any issues with this holster moving or coming off. Like a few other reviews I saw before I made the purchase stated, A GOOD GUN BELT IS A MUST, not just for this holster but for all holsters in general.
I am still highly recommending this holster for the M&P Shield after 2 Years of use!" — MyPyro3
Trending review: "Most of the time I am pleased with what I order from Amazon, and when I have had a complaint, they have "had my back" and accepted a return. I can say that I am completely satisfied with my order for this CYA inside the waistband holster for my new Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm. When I ordered the holster I was somewhat worried that it would add too much bulk to the handgun and be uncomfortable to wear. My worries were unfounded, as this holster is very thin in it's profile, yet is extremely strong. It fits the gun like a glove, and it's build is excellent. When I first put it on I was surprised that I couldn't feel it except for the weight of the handgun. I wear it at about the 4:30 position, and even when I am sitting it's easy to forget that I have it on.
By the way, the hardware which holds it all together is very high quality stuff. The retention adjustment screws allow you to "dial in" the holding power that you like. All of the edging on the holster is nicely beveled and finished so that there are no sharp edges to wear on either your skin or your clothing. All in all I would say that this holster at the price paid is an excellent value.
Amazon delivered this holster in just a few days, and I would say that their description of the item was spot on." — Amazon Customer
Reassuring review: "Perfect holster for my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm. I'm an Army vet, so I'm glad to support a veteran owned business with a product made in America. Great quality holster, nice audible click when you fully insert the gun, and the trigger guard is completely covered, so there's no chance it'll get caught or have an AD. Doesn't appear to damage the gun cosmetically from repeated drawing and holstering. Good quality material, seems really strong/tough and will last a long time. Very easy to clip on your belt, doesn't require removing the whole belt to loop it, it just easily clips onto the belt, inside your waistband. Great efficient size for a conceal carry gun like the Shield, nice and compact, just perfect all around. For the money, it's unbeatable. Doesn't feel cheap or lower quality at all. Works perfect for me and I highly recommend it. I expect to get many many years of use from this holster. I'm now a big fan of the IWB carry. Certainly for the 9mm Shield. Supposed to work with the .40 as well I believe. The angle that this holster gives for your grip of the pistol is flawless. Perfect drawing angle. Gives adequate retention (it wouldn't come out, even if you were hanging upside down by your feet) and yet it comes out easily when you quick draw." — Chad K

Helpful review: "This fits my Smith & Wesson M&P Shield 9mm like a glove. I love the way the pistol clicks in but releases with ease. Fits well inside the waistband and is adjustable. I can't imagine that there is a better IWB holster out there. I will be ordering one for my Glock 22 40 cal." — MVP Auto Parts - Lyons New York
Trending review: "I bought this because I wanted to rotate out my starting lineup and give it a break from the sweaty, nasty, abusive conditions I normally put it through. I happen to have a Shield in .40 S&W (gross) but its the only kid on the bench I could use.
I picked this because it was the absolutely cheapest thing I could find.
I was not optimistic.
But low and behold, it actually works. Possibly even slightly above average. (Like something else I have)
I have carried it for several months with everything from drawstring sweatpants, for my trips to Wal-Mart, to my Sunday Best for my trips to atone for my sin of going to Wal-Mart. It performs adequately in both roles.
The ability to adjust the cant of the piece was something I didn't know I wanted until I had it. Definitely a plus. The ability to tighten the retention is also a plus as I plan to wear it to my upcoming mud-wrestling tournament.
This look of this crappy little piece of Chinese plastic may elicit the disdain of the elitists who worship John Wick, but when push comes to shove comes to 2 way live fire, no one will care when you drop your 40 and draw your .40." — Tommy Loy
Reassuring review: "I needed a temporary holster while waiting on some replacement parts to arrive for my EDC holster to arrive. I got this on next day or 2 day shipping right before Christmas.
This is a perfect fit for my S&W Shield 9mm. Retention is good as long as you keep it upright. If it flips upside down (as can happen when you go to the bathroom), you should keep an eye on it. I had my pistol fall out once. You can hear it "click" into place, though. The clip is pretty strong. I didn't feel like it was going to come loose from my belt at any point, either." — Nicholas

Highlight: The holsters for M&P Shield w/TLR-6 full covering all access to the trigger, which can avoid all possible accidents. All edges are polished and smooth designed be exceptional consistency and accuracy. Smooth inside instructure can avoid scratching your love handgun

Helpful review: "I'm running an M&P 2.0 3.6 inch (non-Shield) 9mm and while I was worried about the fitment, I was pleasantly surprised that this holster is compatible. This is a slightly larger gun than the Shield so the trigger guard isn't completely covered as with my other holsters, and the area around the trigger is wider to accommodate the TLR6 light. All things I can work with as it's hard to find a proper holster for my particular setup without going the custom route. Good job guys! Maybe flared edges on the next iteration to make reholstering a little easier?" — Chris Charles
Trending review: "There was no IWB holster made to fit my wife’s S&W .380 EZ with a solofish Light/laser on the rail. This one also did not fit and I did not expect it to when I ordered it. However, being kydex, it was not hard to heat the shell carefully with a heat gun until it was soft, then push the gun/laser-light combo into it and after a few cycles of heating it and squeezing it to fit (with a leather glove so as not to burn myself) and a lot of pushing the gun in and pulling it out, i was able to make it into a customized, well fitting IWB holster with good adjustable retention. You gotta love Kydex!" — TLS, OTD
Reassuring review: "This was meant to be a dedicated truck rig(between the front seats) but the great retention, ride height / cant adjustability and .08 kydex is just as durable and comfortable as my daily carry unit. It has become my “around the house” / “I’m lazy today” carry option as it is easily secured to gym shorts. My normal carry holster has a pretty aggressive claw which makes it sit awkward in anything without a belt." — Dustin F.
